How might production and delivery savings be made for ad hoc mail pieces created in real-time?
When BNP Paribas, a European banking and financial services group based in Paris posed that question, the Cincom Eloquence team sought to provide a working solution. For an international business like BNP Paribas, member correspondence is critical to successful business operations.
BNP Paribas selected Cincom Eloquence to further simplify their document creation by placing ownership back into the hands of business users. Improved ease of use was important to consider for replacing their current system with a single software solution offered by Cincom Eloquence.
Cincom Eloquence’s solution successfully lets business users create new templates with no need to ask for IT resources. Access to templates is by role. Therefore, the staff required no prior formal training to use the new system.
“We emphasized process automation and ease of use,” explained Didier Caupain, Project Manager at BNP Paribas. “The business teams understood very quickly how they could benefit from this tool rather than using Microsoft Word.”
This allowed staff at BNP Paribas to focus on more selling.
The improved document quality, reduced postal costs for production and delivery greatly reduces postal costs while also being mindful of environmental concerns with its centralized printing solution remaining essential to their current document communication solution.
BNP Paribas is now accomplishing the following results:
- 50% reduction in the number of templates from 1,300 to 650
- 33% reduction in the cost of each document
- Recurrent annual cost savings of over €1 million
- Over 250,000 documents generated per month
- Improved quality and brand consistency
- Reduce postage costs
A rapid return on investment for Cincom Eloquence of less than 18 months has underlined the achievements of faster, less-complex document creation, centralized printing and reduced postage costs. The cooperation between the project team, various businesses and the IT department has achieved stellar, quantifiable results.
“We carried out an analysis of the relevant existing processes and examined every method used,” said Caupain. “Cincom Eloquence offered a very light client solution and allowed us to manage the whole ad hoc mail life cycle, from design to production, without IT as an intermediary.”
Dynamic correspondence applications like the solution currently implemented at BNP Paribas provides the tools that insurers need to deliver a highly personalized customer experience through document communications, while reducing costs.
